Johannesburg based company specialising in concrete floors.
We developed a diagnostic tool, the RackTrack, that measures and logs the profile of the concrete floor. The RackTrack enables real-time feedback to assist with the grinding or filling operations to ensure a mirror like smooth finish. Inventech was involved in the mechanical and electronic development of the machine. The RackTrack has saved CLF thousands of rands and hours in ensuring that the concrete floor is level when constructed.

Moving Tactics offers an innovative way to communicate through customised Digital Signage solutions
MovingTactics approached us in 2012 with a requirement for a industrial grade 3G/Wi-Fi router as they were experiencing a number of reliability issues with the commercially available products. The catch was that it had to be comparable in cost to commercial 3G routers. In order to be cost competitive we produced a product based on a existing commercial industrial Wi-Fi router and our own custom dual Sim 3G modem. The product is pre-configured to their network requirements, supporting private and public APN's. We developed and integrated a reporting and management system enabling, remote over the air updates across public and private networks. More details of this product are viewable here: Dual Network 3G-Access Point
Innovative induction heating systems for processing precious and base metals.
Hot Platinum approached us with the requirement to be able to log into there PLC's remotely over the public internet anywhere in the world. Once again a cost effective solution was required, we based our solution on the same 3G industrial modem platform but added a serial port. This enabled the Hot Platinum to SMS or give a missed call to the unit when they needed to log into there sites. The unit enables the remote connectivity to remote PC/PLC's anywhere in the world over the 3G/LTE public or private network. The remote system is reachable via a remote serial port, Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection.
Cycling tracking platform enabling the sharing of routes with family and friends in real time.
We developed the complete software for Plot my ride running on the standalone device. The standalone device gives unprecedented battery life and reliably in difficult terrain.
The wind-up radio is currently in a production run of 30K units and is shipped worldwide.
We were involved in all aspects of the product life cycle from the proposal phase to final production. We designed and implemented the entire firmware on the radio, tuning, MP3 playback and recording. The design was nominated for an 2011 INDEX award and was a finalist in the play category.<br /> We are proud that a product we helped develop for Lifeline Technologies, has had a positive impact in peoples lives. Ripe Technology had the rights to A3 grey scale and colour ePaper displays from Bridgestone.
The A3 ePaper display allowed for daylight viewing of newspaper headlines and articles. The product we developed for them connected to a scheduling and management system over the GSM/GPRS network. ePaper requires no power to display an image enabling the display to be powered by a small solar panel and battery combination. Sadly the Japanese tsunami of 2011 destroyed a factory used to manufacture a key component of the ePaper display. We are proud that a product we helped develop for Lifeline Technologies, has had a positive impact in peoples lives.
